We recently hosted Rachel Bean in Bangalore. Rachel is a veterinary nurse from UK, with more than 20 years of experience. She was the shelter manager at the Dog Trust Shelter. She frequently visits Soy Dog Foundation in Thailand to volunteer her time at the shelter that helps street dogs in Thailand. But most importantly, Rachel has a big heart and a very empathetic approach to dogs.
Rachel was in Bangalore recently and during her visit she was gracious enough to donate her time to help educate Bangalore dog enthusiasts. Thus we were able to offer a half a day workshop on canine first aid that pet parents were able to avail at a very affordable price and we managed to raise more than Rs. 16,000/- for CARE, a much loved AWO in Bangalore.
We want to give a big shoutout to our students and Hundeskole clients who have helped us out. We did not have to even ask Rajalakshmi for a venue. She just offered it up and then went on to host the most elegant learning afternoon one might have ever seen, full with coffee, tea, fruits, snacks and brilliant service. Ridhima from Heads Up For Tails did not hesitate a moment to sponsor the study material. But we were pleasantly surprised to discover that the lovely ladies from HUFT had thrown in a little gift coupon for us to use at their store. Debadrita, our manager, a senior student and the shelter manager of Precious Paws Foundation was of course the person running the show and pulled a smooth event. And of course, another big shoutout to the eager learners of Bangalore, who validate our existence. We thrive on your intellectual curiosity.
