The BHARCS Pledge

Take the pledge

A voluntary, public promise of 100% compliance with The BHARCS Code, open to anyone who has completed a BHARCS course. It puts you on the public Register for a year, and comes with a badge to display. Renewing is taking the pledge again.

Before you pledge

Three things to know

  • You must have completed a BHARCS course — Canine Essential 101, BACBECC or BACBED. We confirm this against our records before your entry is published, so keep the name and email you enrolled under handy. Attaching your certificate speeds it up.
  • The pledge is public. Your name, city and country, tier, the Code version, your dates and your status go on the Register, where anyone can look you up, and anyone can report a breach with evidence. Entries are never deleted: if your pledge lapses, ends or is withdrawn, the Register says so.
  • It runs for a year. We remind you before the renewal date; renewing is taking the pledge again, to the version of the Code current on that day.
